Rise 'N Roll Bakery, 1065 N 1150 W, Middlebury Nestled on the corner of N 1150 W and US 20 between Middlebury and Shipshewana is a great bakery called Rise 'N Roll that you definitely need to try out. When you ask around about the best donuts in Michiana, this place will always be mentioned several times....along with West End Bakery in Mishawaka, which I have already done a post on as well. Rise 'N Roll is an Amish bakery, if you couldn't tell by it's location, and has been open since … [Read more...]

Curve Cafe, 3407 Lincolnway East, Mishawaka A few months ago, the Curve Cafe opened up on Lincolnway East in Mishawaka. It is in the former location of Between The Buns Family right on "the curve" in the Twin Branch area.  Watching the transformation of the outside take place, which I think is eye catching.  I was excited to see how they changed the concept of the restaurant from a lunch and dinner sports themed place to a breakfast and lunch type of restaurant. The Curve Cafe is … [Read more...]

macadoos

Macadoo's Family Restaurant, 2108 Lincolnway East, Mishawka Some of the best places to grab a bite to eat are not on "restaurant row" where most of the chain restaurants are, sometimes they are in the middle of a mostly residential area, like Macadoo's in Mishawaka.  Though on busy Lincolnway East, the restaurant is surrounded by residential. Macadoo's is family owned and operated and is best known for their biscuits and gravy. If you have never tried it, then it is a must try when you … [Read more...]
