I just wanted to personally thank you for the blog, and the very positive feedback you’ve given me and my pizzeria. This sort of thing is what excites me and makes all of our hard work worthwhile! I’d personally recommend the Presidential Meat Lovers when you try the Chicago Deep Dish…unless you’re daring enough to try the Smithsonian Challenge, that is. Our BBQ sauce is also a house blend, so I’m sure that you’ll be amazed once again when you try that one! I’m looking forward to seeing you very soon, and to reading the other 364 things to do in the area.

Great points Barry!
When I read these fb posts they make me shut down and while I too am a Christian, sometimes it makes me almost ashamed to admit it. I don’t want to say that I am in the same group as these folks who feel the need to beat everyone over the head with their faith.
I also feel that by pushing the Christmas aspect we are saying that our holiday is the only one that matters. Many other religions have holidays at this time of year and by pushing the CHRISTmas part so hard is egotistical. We are discounting their holiday and sayiing ours is more important. It is not a very Christian thing to do and only further pushes other religions away.
In the US Chrisianity is the majority and these other religions are overpowered. Where I live now in India, I am the minority at only 2% of the population. It makes you rethink your priorities a bit when you are not the top religion.

Great points Barry, I absolutely agree with you! If it weren’t for our grandchildren I don’t think we would do a tree either. The whole reason for Christmas seems to get lost in all of the chaos of preparing for it.

Thanks for the post. One of, if not the biggest things we miss after having moved to NW Indiana is attending GCC. We have not found a replacement for the church in our lives over here. We have even tried to drive over for services, but the 1+ hour drive proves to be too much for our busy schedules. Thanks for the update from the AND conference.
